"Exceeded one million holiday bonuses paid and the accommodations that join this important initiative that supports tourism and the expenditure of low-income families continue to increase." So the Minister for Cultural Heritage and Activities and Tourism, Dario Franceschini.

"The numbers are growing - the minister continued - after only one month from the entry into force, more than one million holiday bonuses obtained through the IO app for an economic value of 450 million euros. At the moment, there are over 140 thousand families who have already spent the bonuses in around 10 thousand structures, thus introducing over 60 million euros into the tourism sector. An effective way to support Italian tourism companies and families. But even on vacation you need prudence and respect for the rules " .

According to the data of the Revenue Agency reported by Mibact, the territorial distribution of the Italians' expenses is taking place between the regions with a trend not very different from the normal flows of internal tourism. The first three regions where expenditure was concentrated are Emilia Romagna, Puglia and Tuscany where, overall, more than a third of the bonuses paid out were used. In particular, 16% of bonuses were spent in Emilia Romagna for a value of more than 9.5 million euro; in Puglia 10% for a value of over 6 million euro; in Tuscany about 7% for a value of more than 4 million euros.

The data also show that families are deciding where to spend their holidays also on the basis of the presence on the territories of hotels, campsites and bed & breakfasts participating in the initiative. At a national level there are about 10,000 structures where bonuses have already been spent and, in the first month, each of them has hosted an average of 11 families. On a territorial level, the podium by number of participating structures sees Emilia Romagna in the lead (13% of the total), followed by Trentino Alto Adige (9%) and Tuscany (7%).
