02 August 2020 Obligation to wear a mask until mid-August in all closed places accessible to the public, from trains to shops. But a new extension is already in the works, even if no decision would have been made yet. According to what is learned from government sources, the Dpcm that will be adopted next week should substantially confirm the guidelines currently in force and the renewal of the obligation of the masks for the containment of the infection is now taken for granted. For the moment, the ordinance signed on 1 August by Minister Speranza requires the use of protective devices until 15 August.

The ordinance adopted yesterday confirms the obligation to wear a mask "in indoor places accessible to the public, including means of transport and in any case on all occasions where it is not possible to continuously guarantee the maintenance of the safety distance". The obligation does not apply to children under six years of age or to the disabled. Social distancing also remains, with the maintenance of one meter between people on means of transport and in places open to the public.
