(Fighting New Crown Pneumonia) Vice Chairman of the Uzbekistan Parliament Senate dies due to new crown disease

  China News Agency, Nur-Sultan, August 1st. Uzbekistan, a major Central Asian country, added 746 new cases of new coronary pneumonia on July 31. As of August 1, Uzbekistan had a total of 24,304 confirmed cases, 14,464 cured, and 143 deaths.

  According to Uzbek media reports, Yerniazov, the deputy chairman of the Uzbekistan Assembly’s Senate and chairman of the Assembly of the Karakalpakstan Autonomous Republic, died on July 31 of new crown pneumonia at the age of 73.

  According to the latest data released by the Ministry of Health of Kazakhstan, there were 1,289 newly confirmed cases of new coronary pneumonia in the country on July 31, and the cumulative number of confirmed cases exceeded 90,000.

  Among the Kazakh prefectures, the largest number of newly confirmed cases on July 31 was in the capital Nur-Sultan (226 cases), followed by the largest city Almaty (211 cases) and East Kazakhstan (111 cases). In terms of the cumulative number of confirmed cases, Almaty City (11873 cases), Nur-Sultan City (11254 cases) and Atyrau Oblast (10284 cases) were more severely affected.

  An outbreak in Kazakhstan occurred in mid-March, and it is now the country with the largest number of confirmed cases and deaths in Central Asia. As of August 1, Kazakhstan had a total of 90,367 confirmed cases and 60,825 cured. The Ministry of Health of Kazakhstan has changed the statistics of death cases to weekly updates. The most recent (28th) published data showed that there were 793 deaths.

  The current epidemic data released by the Ministry of Health of Kazakhstan does not include data on patients with pneumonia who have tested negative for the new crown virus but have similar symptoms to the new crown pneumonia. The Ministry of Health of Kazakhstan will incorporate such patients into the statistics in the future. According to official data released by Kazakhstan, from January 1 to July 15 this year, over 234,000 cases of pneumonia and 3327 deaths from pneumonia were registered across Kazakhstan.

  According to the Interfax news agency, four of the Central Asian countries have had a new crown pneumonia epidemic. As of August 1, the total number of confirmed cases was 158,379.
