(Fighting against New Coronary Pneumonia) Russia completes clinical trials of new coronavirus vaccines and plans to expand the scope of vaccination in October

China News Service, Moscow, August 1 (Reporter Wang Xiujun) On the 1st, Russian Minister of Health Murashko revealed to the media that the Russian National Research Center for Epidemiology and Microbiology in Gamalea has completed clinical trials of the new coronavirus vaccine.

Murashko said that the center is currently preparing documents for registration. After registration, the vaccine will be put into use. Doctors and teachers will be the first group to be vaccinated. At the same time, people who have been vaccinated will be observed. In addition, plans to expand the scope of vaccination from October.

The National Research Center for Epidemiology and Microbiology in Gamallea has previously developed freeze-dried and liquid vaccines. The two vaccines began in June in two phases of clinical trials at the Moscow State Sechenov First Medical University and the Russian Buldenko Military Clinical General Hospital. No adverse reactions were observed after the volunteers were vaccinated.

On August 1, Dmitriev, President of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (cooperative vaccine producer) announced that all volunteers had antibodies in their bodies. The data on vaccines will be released in August. At present, 20 countries are interested in vaccines, and 5 countries plan to participate in vaccine production.

In response to the statement that “Russian vaccine development is too fast”, Dmitriev emphasized that Russia has always been a leader in vaccine research and development, and Russia has strict approval procedures. Russia chose the safest method for testing. This test method was used in the development of the Ebola vaccine.

Dmitriev previously revealed that under the framework of cooperation with multiple countries, the vaccine production will reach 200 million by the end of 2020, of which 30 million will be produced by Russia, and the rest will be produced with the help of partner countries. By 2021, vaccine production will reach 3 billion.

According to the Russian New Coronavirus Epidemic Prevention and Control Headquarters, Russia has added 5,462 new coronavirus infections in the past day, and the cumulative number of infections is 855,000. Murashko revealed on August 1 that a vaccine developed by the Russian "Vector" Virology and Biotechnology Research Center is currently undergoing clinical trials. It is expected that within 1.5 to 2 months, two more vaccines will be submitted for clinical trials on volunteers. (Finish)
