• Rupture. One million euros: the pending fringes of the political 'divorce' of Teresa Rodríguez and Pablo Iglesias
  • Manifesto: Teresa Rodríguez breaks with IU and maneuvers to gain control and the brand of Adelante Andalucía

In neutral. This is the internal negotiation in Adelante Andalucía, the electoral platform that is integrated by Podemos, the Anticapitalists of Teresa Rodríguez (ex Podemos Andalucía), Izquierda Unida, Primavera Andaluza and Izquierda Andalucista. Neither the arrival of the new leadership of the purple party led by Cordovan Martina Velarde -which has not shown a firm position or a resounding criterion- nor the secret meetings have managed to unblock internal dialogue to overcome differences around, fundamentally, the future of the brand in the short and medium term.

According to sources familiar with the negotiations, the positions are fierce around the Adelante Andalucía brand. In the last meeting between the still members, a little over a week ago, Izquierda Unida once again demanded Rodríguez and his family to cancel the registration of Adelante Andalucía in the Match Register, a move that caught IU by surprise and has spirited spirits.

Especially since the former leader of Podemos in Andalusia, who currently holds the presidency of the Adelante parliamentary group, flatly refuses to back down on what is the epicenter of her political strategy after leaving the purple party due to their differences with the national direction of Pablo Iglesias.

Presenting herself for the next elections, although the horizon may be far, inevitably happens for Teresa Rodríguez because the ballot is that of Adelante Andalucía and not as an electoral platform, but as a party and with all that this entails.

In addition, the team of Toni Valero insists on another point that generates disagreement. IU claims that the internal regulations that have yet to be provided to Adelante Andalucía - until now everything was decided by consensus - establish unanimity as an essential requirement for decisions to go ahead, something that Teresa Rodríguez and her collaborators interpret as a right of I veto that they are not willing to accept.

In short, the former partners - Teresa Rodríguez, as the leader of Podemos, and Antonio Maíllo, as the regional coordinator of the IU - who gave birth to the left "confluence" with which they intended to offer an alternative to the SusanaDíaz PSOE, are today further away never.

Practically, only two agreements came out of last week's meeting: that the talks should be kept secret , that is, that they should not be aired, and that two more weeks would be given to try to bring together positions that seem irreconcilable.

The sources consulted spoke of " impasse " in the negotiations and are pessimistic about the future of the negotiations and the future that awaits Adelante Andalucía itself, at least as it is known right now.

To the extent that, unless there are surprises and unexpected movements on the part of some of the parties (or all), these sources believe that it is not at all disposable that IU ends up leaving the platform and breaks the parliamentary group in two.
