Hong Kong administration announced today that it will postpone the election on September 31, the last day of registration for candidates running for the Hong Kong Legislative Assembly.

It was delayed one year to September 5 next year.

Hong Kong's Executive Secretary Carrie Lam has heard of the spread of Corona19.

Hong Kong's Corona19 has been in the dark until last month, but recently more than 100 new confirmers occur every day.

However, the Hong Kong opposition is fiercely protesting that it is a trick to stop defeat.

More than 610,000 Hong Kong citizens participated in the primary election to set a single opposition candidate to run for legislative elections in the middle of this month.

The democratic camp, which won an overwhelming victory in the elections in the past year in November, aimed to take this momentum and aim for a majority in the legislative elections.

However, the pro- faction camp has also argued for disqualification of opposition candidates who acted in violation of the “Hong Kong National Security Act” along with delaying the election.

Yesterday, the Hong Kong Election Commission disqualified 12 Democratic factions, including Joshua Wong, from running for election.

US Secretary of State Pompeo Hong Kong As it said that elections should be free and fair, postponing the election seems to be another element of conflict between the United States and China.
