The 103rd Giro d'Italia was turned upside down by the pandemic, but will start on 3 October from Monreale and will end on 25 in Milan, the stage arrival for the 78th time in history.

Compared to the original program with the Great Start in Hungary, the route is all enclosed in the Italian territory: it has lost about 80 kilometers in length (now 3,496.8) but has gained 6 in time trial (from 58.8 to 64.7 ).

Confirm the 'Cima Coppi' at 2,758 meters of the Stelvio, the 'Montagna Pantani' in Piancavallo, and the 'Tappa Bartali' from Alba to Sestriere. There will be seven uphill finishes, six of which are in the high mountains - one more than the 'Hungarian' route, - three stages against time and six for sprinters.
