by Michela Coricelli 30 July 2020 The heavy Covid effect accused by the great world economies weighs down the markets. The collapse of American GDP in the second quarter (-32.9%) and that of Germany (-10.1%) sink European stocks. A black Thursday for the price lists. The worst is Frankfurt, which drops 3.45%, followed by Milan to -3.28%, London -2.31% and Paris -2.13%.

Wall Street, which had started very badly, partially recovered thanks to technological stocks: the Nasdaq is up by 0.31% and the Dow Jones loses about one point.

In Piazza Affari the worst stock today was Eni (-7%), after the presentation of the results and the revision of the dividend policy. Oil and energy stocks weigh on all European stock exchanges, but the Dow Jones is also ballasted.
