Left too early. A brawl between twenty people ended with the death of a 15-year-old teenager on Thursday evening in Draveil, commune of Essonne 25 km south of Paris. The young victim was stabbed during the confrontation. She "presented a stab wound in the back," said a source familiar with the matter. She died on the spot shortly after midnight. The Evry prosecutor's office opened an investigation for intentional homicide, entrusted to the judicial police of Versailles.

According to the first elements of the investigation, a rivalry between bands of different neighborhoods is at the origin of the brawl.

A young man died in Massy after a fight between two neighborhoods

If the cause was confirmed, it would be the second death in two weeks in the Essonne department linked to neighborhood rivalries. On July 16, a 20-year-old young man from Chilly-Mazarin died in Massy after being stabbed in the leg and shot in the back.

In this case, six people were indicted for murder and attempted murder in an organized gang, and placed in pre-trial detention. Among them, two minors aged 16 and 17 and four adults aged 18 to 22, according to a source familiar with the matter.

All have already been convicted by the courts, including some of them for drug trafficking. According to a source close to the investigation, three of the defendants, from the same siblings, "mentioned an opposition between the Emile-Zola and Place de France districts", where the victim died, to explain the facts.
