His grandfather participated in the War of Liberation and the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea; his father joined the army under the influence of his grandfather and defended his homeland at the coastal defense outpost. During the transfer process, Grandpa's left arm was severely injured by being contaminated with gasoline and burning." Xu Zheng was full of admiration when talking about the battle of Grandpa. Because of his outstanding performance in protecting oil, Xu Jiahai was awarded the third-class merit in wartime.

　　The Shengsi Islands are far away from the main island of Zhoushan and can only be accessed by boat. This poses a physical challenge to the newly enlisted Xu Linguo and his comrades. "Father said that many of his comrades in arms were the first time to take a boat. Many of them were seasick after a few hours' voyage. When they arrived on the island, they all looked like frosted eggplants." Xu Zheng said. Because his father grew up on the riverside, he was used to the bumps of the boat.
