It took almost a year to find her. On August 11, 2019, a 6-year-old French girl and a 37-year-old man were swept away by a mudslide in the canton of Valais, Switzerland. They were in a stationary car when the tragedy occurred, while the child's mother was getting out.

On July 23, the Valais cantonal police were alerted that a body had been spotted near Cully. It has been identified and the DNA results are in: it is indeed the girl who had disappeared, indicates L'Est Républicain , citing the Swiss authorities.

The body of the second occupant of the vehicle, a 37-year-old Swiss, cannot be found.
