It was at 19.31 that a rescue service was alerted by a caller who saw a canoe floating up and down north of Tjörnbron.
- It is a big step because it goes so fast in the water. We search both in the water and along land, says Lotta Molander, alarm and control operator at the Greater Gothenburg rescue service.
At 20.30, it had not yet been possible to locate either the canoe or the canoeist.
