It is on 22 to 30 August that Linköping has its rainbow week. Due to the corona pandemic, several other cities have chosen to hold their pride parades digitally. But in Linköping, it will be physical - albeit with some changes.

- We will have the train physically, but not in a formation as usual due to the restrictions. The parade will be in several different parts and the idea is a maximum of five large parade parts and then companies and school classes who want to support will be able to go on their own pride trains, film them and then we broadcast it digitally, says Fredrik Bromander, who is project manager.

Close cooperation

To be able to have the parade physically, the organizers have been in contact with the Public Health Agency, the region's infection control and the police. It has also worked closely with the municipality of Linköping.

- I think it is important that the city should see the movement and joy in pride, despite the pandemic. It is important for workplaces or school activities that want to raise questions about LGBTQI in teaching and so on, says Fredrik Bromander.

New for this year is also that Linköping's pride will release a very own pride song written by Linköping's artist Elin Saanum.
