International responses to the mechanism put forward by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to accelerate the implementation of the Riyadh Agreement between the Yemeni government and the Transitional Council in Yemen, which aims to reach a comprehensive political solution to the Yemeni crisis, continue.

The UAE has welcomed developments in the implementation of the Riyadh agreement, expressing its hope that its implementation will be accelerated, and the paths of ending the Yemeni crisis should be pushed forward, on top of which is the United Nations-sponsored peace path and envoy to Yemen.

In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation commended the leadership of Saudi Arabia in achieving progress in implementing the Riyadh Agreement, and its support and support for everything that serves the interests of the Yemeni people and contributes to its stability and security.

She stressed the importance of the Yemeni forces ’solidarity and cooperation and the primacy of the supreme national interest to address the risks to which Yemen is exposed, foremost of which is the Houthi coup.

The Ministry renewed its commitment to stand by the Yemeni people and support its legitimate aspirations for development, security and peace, within the framework of its policy to support all that is in the interest of the peoples of the region.

For its part, Egypt appreciated the Saudi efforts and its eagerness to implement the Riyadh agreement, expressing its appreciation for the Emirati role in supporting the political solution in Yemen and complementing the Saudi efforts.

In a statement issued by the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Cairo welcomed the responsiveness of the legitimate Yemeni government and the Southern Transitional Council to the new mechanism, with a view to overcoming existing obstacles and giving priority to the interests of the brotherly Yemeni people and creating the atmosphere for the resumption of the political process with a view to reaching a comprehensive solution to the Yemeni crisis.

For his part, the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf praised the efforts made by Saudi Arabia, with the aim of overcoming existing obstacles and giving priority to the interests of the Yemeni people, creating the atmosphere for the Yemeni government to exercise all its work from Aden and launching the wheel of development in the liberated areas, and pushing the paths to end the Yemeni crisis in all its dimensions.

The Council stressed the importance of "restoring security and stability in fraternal Yemen, its strong return as an active member in its Gulf and Arab surroundings, and the Council's support for the United Nations efforts to reach a comprehensive political solution to the Yemeni crisis."

In turn, the Arab Parliament welcomed the mechanism presented by Saudi Arabia, "appreciating the efforts made by Riyadh to collect Yemeni brothers, address differences and remove obstacles that caused delaying implementation of the Riyadh agreement, as a fundamental pillar for preserving Yemen's sovereignty and achieving its unity."

The Arab Parliament expressed its full support for the efforts made by the Saudi-led legitimacy support coalition to achieve security and stability and the peace and development industry in Yemen, and to reach a comprehensive political solution to the Yemeni crisis that would end the coup and restore legal authority over all Yemeni lands.

On the international level, British Foreign Secretary Dominic Rapp said that the Riyadh agreement is an essential step towards a peaceful and appropriate solution to the crisis in Yemen.

He pointed out in a tweet on his official account on “Twitter” that Saudi Arabia’s announcement of a mechanism to accelerate the implementation of the Riyadh agreement represents an important development.

It is noteworthy that the Saudi initiative included "the continuation of the cease-fire and escalation between the legitimate government and the Southern Transitional Council, which has been in effect since June 22 this year, and the announcement of the Southern Transitional Council to give up self-administration, implement the Riyadh agreement, and appoint a governor and security director for Aden Governorate."

The mechanism also included assigning the Yemeni Prime Minister to form a government of political efficiencies within 30 days, the exit of military forces from Aden outside the governorate, the separation of forces of the two parties in Abyan, and their return to their previous positions.

The initiative stipulated the issuance of a decision to form members of the government equally between the north and the south, including the ministers nominated by the Southern Transitional Council, upon completion of this, and to begin their work tasks in Aden and continue to complete the implementation of the Riyadh Agreement in all its points and tracks.
