Today, the Ministry of Education announced that it has completed a comprehensive evaluation of the distance learning system, applied in government schools in the country, private schools in Ajman, Umm Al Quwain, Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah, based on the recommendations of the Education and Human Resources Council.

"Education", in its account on the social networking site "Twitter", indicated that this step comes in order to evaluate and improve students' learning experiences, and the quality of their lives during the application of distance learning, in response to the prevailing exceptional circumstances, within the framework of the Ministry of Education's efforts to pursue School performance and ensuring the effectiveness of its implementation of distance learning program plans.

The Ministry of Education added: "The evaluation teams at the Ministry of Education have evaluated all private schools in Ajman, Umm Al Quwain, Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah, and 29% of government schools."

And according to the results of the evaluation, the percentage of public schools that received an advanced rating was 22%, while schools that received a partially developed rating of 78%, while no government school received an underdeveloped rating.

As for private schools, 62% of private schools (in Ajman, Umm Al Quwain, Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah) received an advanced rating, while the percentage of schools that received a partially developed rating was 36%, and finally, the percentage of schools that received an underdeveloped rating was 2%.

According to the ministry, the evaluation of distance learning aims to monitor the quality of distance learning provided to students, through the evaluation of a set of important and specific criteria, which relate to the mechanisms for applying this type of education, so as to achieve in the final outcome the raising of the level of distance learning practices.
