A woman in her fifties died Sunday in Concarneau, in Finistère. The victim would probably have succumbed to cardio-respiratory arrest. Plainclothes firefighters who were nearby tried to resuscitate the 50-year-old, using a defibrillator located nearby, but in vain, reports Ouest-France. The woman died on the spot.

What puzzles the police is the presence of a man, seated on the same bench as the victim at the time of his discomfort. Witnesses said the woman had her head resting on the man's shoulder just before experiencing difficulty breathing. The man would then have fled, reports the daily.

A call for witnesses launched

To try to find his trace, the police questioned several witnesses of the scene. But she wishes to complete her information and calls for witnesses.

Anyone likely to help the investigators can contact the police station on 02 90 41 34 00. The incident took place on Sunday July 26 around 4:30 pm on a bench on avenue Pierre-Guéguin, not far from the office tourism.
