Late in the evening on July 25, the alarm came that a taxi had driven over several people who then needed to be taken to hospital. The driver was later arrested by prosecutors and according to the prosecutor, the man must have been upset with one of the people who was hit. The suspect himself admits parts of the course of events - but denies the crime.

After the incident, the taxi company's CEO stated: "We are shocked and regret what happened and feel for the victims," ​​said Per-Olov Dély at Taxi Borlänge.

On Monday, it was announced that all five people who had been taken to hospital after the collision had been able to leave the hospital.

During Tuesday's arrest hearing, which was held behind closed doors, the district court thus decided to arrest the taxi driver, who on probable cause is suspected of attempted murder and four cases of aggravated assault.
