"At the Kupchinskaya station of the Oktyabrskaya railway, work continues to restore the track infrastructure and contact network damaged as a result of the derailment of the rolling stock," the press service said.
In total, more than 140 people are involved, specialized equipment is working, including cranes for recovery trains.
Earlier, the Emergencies Ministry reported that after a collision of two freight trains in St. Petersburg, three locomotives and an empty car derailed. The driver of one of the trains was hospitalized.
Investigative Committee opened a criminal case under the article “Violation of traffic safety rules and operation of railway transport”.
