This is stated in the statement of the European Council.
Among the measures is “to further investigate and restrict the export of sensitive equipment and technology for targeted use by Hong Kong, in particular those in respect of which there is a reasonable suspicion of unwanted exploitation (technology) associated with internal repression, interception of inside information and virtual surveillance”.
Earlier it was reported that the Chinese government has condemned the adoption of the Hong Kong Autonomy Act in the United States and plans to impose sanctions on the relevant American citizens and organizations.
