The Dubai Criminal Court began the trial of a (Arab) businessman, who threatened to kill his wife inside a police station in Dubai.
A witness from Al-Muraqqabat police station in Dubai said that he was at the head of his work, and he was informed that the accused was in front of the reception door, and he wanted to inquire about reports concerning him, so he went out to him, took his identity card, and then asked him to wait until confirmation.
The witness added that it was revealed through the examination that there were reports related to the wife of the accused, which he filed against her last on the pretext that he had threatened him, but he discovered that these reports are within the jurisdiction of the Electronic Crime Management and not the center, so he returned to him and informed him of this calmly, so he was surprised by the defendant's emotion, and spoke angrily about the difficulty Following up on his reports, and the witness told him that these are family issues, which have special considerations, and that space is given to the possibility of resolving them amicably.
The witness indicated that he asked him about what the big thing he intended to do, and the accused replied, "I will kill my wife if you do not help me, and you will bear responsibility", pointing out that he reviewed the official in charge of the department, so he asked to open a communication against him, and the accused did not stop repeating the threat phrases while writing His testimonies, but I deliberately said this to a number of his colleagues at the police station.
For his part, a criminal investigator at Al-Muraqqabat Police Station said that the accused demanded to circulate his wife, in light of a divorce case between them, and he feared that she would leave the state while she was pregnant with his child, so the officer tried to explain to him that it was not possible to make a generalization of the wife in a family case, so he repeated the phrase “if she tried My wife is leaving the country while she is pregnant with my child, so I will kill her. ”He pointed out that, under the nervousness of the accused, and he behaved irresponsibly, the matter was presented to members of the Public Prosecution Center, and they recommended that a report be registered against him, and that he be arrested until he presented it to the prosecution.
