“When visiting the Lefortovo pre-trial detention center, a representative of the administration said that Ivan Safronov complained of a sore throat, after which he was transferred to a quarantine cell and was tested for coronavirus,” he said.
The PMC added that the test result is not yet ready, meetings with Safronov are not yet possible, only medical workers have access to him.
“The representative of the administration of the detention center assured the members of the commission that Safronov has a TV in the quarantine cell and he receives books from the library,” said a member of the POC.
Earlier, the Moscow City Court left Safronov in a pre-trial detention center. The meeting was held behind closed doors.
Safronov was detained on July 7. The FSB suspected him of working for the special services of one of the NATO countries.
