South Korean Ambassador Chang Ha-sung said the Chinese government has agreed to reopen early next week as soon as the visa is issued to Koreans.

It has been four months since March 28, when China crossed the border to prevent corona19.

This measure is for Korean international students, employees, and residents who have a residence permit whose expiration date has not expired.

Considering that most of the 50,000 Korean students in China are now in Korea and about a third of our residents have not returned to China, the door will be opened again to at least 100,000 people.

Of course, corona nucleic acid test results and two weeks of isolation are essential conditions.

"It is the first time that our country has resumed visa issuance in China," said Ambassador Chang. "It makes sense to take a step toward the return of the people who have been to Korea urgently."

However, getting a visa does not mean you can step on the ground in China right away.

As the number of flights exceeded 1,200 a week earlier this year has dropped sharply to about 10 after the corona crisis, it is not easy to get a seat, as reservations are full from August to September.

The two countries said they are discussing further increases following an agreement to increase the number of flights to 20.
