"The decision was made in connection with a significant increase in the number of cases of coronavirus in these cities in recent days," RIA Novosti quoted a press release from the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Ministry of Health of Morocco.

It is noted that the decision was also influenced by the fact that many citizens do not follow precautions, such as wearing masks and social distancing.

On July 14, the total number of coronavirus cases in Morocco increased by 161 to 16,097.
