At 00.50 on Friday, the police receive a call from an address in Karlskoga. The caller is Soheila Fors, deputy in the Christian Democrats' party board. She has woken up to a fire on the terrace.

- I heard a bang, she says to SVT News.

She continues:

- I got a little confused when I saw the flames. Memories came back from the war and persecution in Iran.

"The family is worried"

The fire is suspected to have been caused by a firebomb. When it had rained, the fire could not spread:

- We hurried and extinguished with water, but there was lighter fluid everywhere, she says.

After the police investigated the place, a report was made of an attempted arson.

- The family is worried about me. The kids especially. My youngest son is very worried.

Threatening conversations

Fors tells SVT Nyheter that in the days before the incident she received several threatening calls from unknown men. She herself believes that the attack has to do with her criticism of the regime in Iran.

The police in Bergslagen confirm that a report of the attack has been made, but can not say anything more about the incident. The Christian Democrats are also aware of this, but they refuse to comment as it is a security measure where the police have been involved.

"Feels insecure"

This is not the first time that Soheila Fors, who is an active debater, author and runs a tea house that helps vulnerable women, reports this type of event. She tells SVT Nyheter that people have chased her car, thrown stones at her house and called and threatened her. But so far the reports have not resulted in anything.

- Sorry. I am tired and worn out, it feels insecure, she says.

Soheila also says that the attacks on her are coming in waves.

- It was a long time ago, maybe 6-7 months ago. It had calmed down, but now it has started again.
