Vaccination against coronavirus infection COVID-19 in Russia will be voluntary and organized in a phased manner. This was stated by the Minister of Health Mikhail Murashko on the air of the TV channel "Russia 1". According to him, doctors who work with patients with coronavirus will be the first to receive the drug.

“The vaccination will be voluntary, but we see that the interest of the population is very high,” said Murashko.

He also talked about how progress is developing in the development of a drug for coronavirus. Currently, clinical trials of a vaccine developed by the National Research Center for Epidemiology and Microbiology named after V.I. honorary academician N.F. Gamaleya, while the state scientific center of virology and biotechnology "Vector" has just received permission to conduct clinical trials of the drug on volunteers.

"These two candidate vaccines are now on a virtually even course in order to ensure the security of our country," said the head of the Ministry of Health.

In addition, the day before it became known that the Federal Scientific Center for Research and Development of Immunobiological Preparations named after M.P. Chumakov Russian Academy of Sciences has completed pre-clinical trials of its own vaccine against COVID-19. The drug has shown high efficiency and safety.

In addition, the general director of the center, Aydar Ishmuratov, announced an application for participation in the international tender of the World Health Organization (WHO) for the supply of a vaccine against coronavirus infection.

Earlier, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said that it would be possible to get a vaccine against COVID-19 free of charge, and the vaccination campaign would begin as soon as the vaccine appeared.

Mikhail Murashko, on the Russia 1 TV channel, also stressed that the incidence of coronavirus in Moscow is “waning”, and population immunity is being formed among residents of the capital. At the same time, in other subjects of the Russian Federation, the situation is developing in different ways.

“There are regions that have passed a certain peak and the incidence is decreasing. But we see that, nevertheless, there are cases in all regions of the Russian Federation, ”the head of the Ministry of Health said.

Over the past day, 5765 new cases of coronavirus infection COVID-19 were detected in 83 regions of Russia. According to the headquarters, 24.8% of new patients had no clinical manifestations of coronavirus infection.

No new cases have been identified in the Nenets and Chukotka Autonomous Okrugs. The subjects with the lowest growth rates were the Moscow Region (0.2%), Moscow, Kaluga Region, Kabardino-Balkar Republic, Smolensk Region, Lipetsk Region, Trans-Baikal Territory (all 0.3%), Republic of North Ossetia, Bryansk Region, Tula region (all by 0.4%), the Republic of Tyva, Oryol region, Novgorod region, Ryazan region, Kursk region, Vladimir region, Republic of Dagestan, Kaliningrad region (all by 0.5%).

In the two days preceding this, 5871 and 5811 cases of coronavirus were recorded.

In total, in Russia, the diagnosis of COVID-19 was confirmed in 812,485 people. Since the beginning of the epidemic, 600,250 patients (73.8%) have recovered in Russia, including 3,110 in the last day.

13,269 patients (1.63%) died of complications that developed against the background of coronavirus infection and concomitant diseases. During the day, 146 people died.

The regions where the largest number of new cases were detected per day included: Moscow (683), Sverdlovsk region (241), Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug (192), Nizhny Novgorod Region (177), St. Petersburg (175), Krasnoyarsk Territory ( 161), Irkutsk region (158).

Moscow remains the leader in the country in terms of the number of detected cases (237,947). As noted in the capital's health department, the average daily growth rate of new COVID-19 cases per month is minus 0.57%.

According to him, there will be an increase in cases of detection of coronavirus, which will be associated with the beginning of the season of acute respiratory diseases, but the department does not expect a "significant rise".
