The boat had been reported by the Moonbird, the NGO Sea Watch plane. Spotted in the Maltese Sar area, another boat with about 70 people was also joined by the Libyan coastguard, says the NGO in tweet.

The first, in Maltese SAR, was unfortunately captured and the approximately 70 people on board rejected towards the prison camps by the so-called Libyan coast guard.

The second instead, with about 110 people on board, was rescued by the merchant #Cosmo, flying the Italian flag.
