It was on Tuesday that the 18-year-old was at a shopping center outside Kungsbacka on leave. There he was released by two men who suddenly appeared in a taxi.

"They are doing something on the spot that makes the staff not dare to intervene," police spokesman Christer Fuxborg told TT.

During the week, the police raided addresses in Gothenburg and so far two people have been arrested on suspicion of involvement in the case. But the 18-year-old is still at large.

- We are doing internal reconnaissance, checking tips and doing our own checks, says Hans Lippens, the police's spokesperson.

Investigating the incident

The 18-year-old was placed in one of Sis' (National Board of Institutional) youth homes south of Gothenburg.

- We see this as a failure and now an internal investigation is in full swing. We're investigating if anyone may have leaked this information. This 18-year-old has previously been on a guarded leave, then it went well. And he has been one of those who behaved well at the youth home, he says.
