Along the border in Årjäng and Charlottenberg, where many Norwegian guests are used every year, there are major preparations made for Friday's announcement.

Systembolaget, which has a store in each location, has for some time been preparing for the border opening.

- We have looked above all at the staffing, so that we have enough staff in the stores, and that we have stock so that it is enough, says Bo Albertsson, press manager at Systembolaget.

Expect many customers

In order to be able to cover the need with the announcement, they have enlisted the help of shops in the local area.

- Of course, we expect that a lot of customers will come to those stores, says Bo Albertsson.

As has been done during most of the corona pandemic, they only let a limited number of customers into the store at a time.

- We have had locks into the stores in some places in Sweden where it was needed, and we will continue to do so in Årjäng and Charlottenberg, he says.

Normal opening hours

The stores have had shorter opening hours during the pandemic, but with the border opening they are changing that.

- We return to the normal opening hours again. In any case, in Värmland, we make that decision to meet this need, says Bo Albertsson.

He believes that they will continue to follow advice and recommendations and do what they can to limit the spread of infection.

- Hopefully now that there can be many customers from Norway, you have an understanding of it and adapt to the guidelines that exist.
