Fighter approaching Iranian airliner or multiple passengers injured Iran National Media July 24 10:32

Iran's state media reported that multiple passengers were injured as a result of fighters approaching an Iranian passenger plane flying over Syria and trying to avoid a collision. It is reported that the approach could be an American or Israeli fighter, and the Iranian government will take action as soon as details are available.

Iran's state media reported on the 23rd that fighter planes were approaching over Syria, while Iranian Mahan Airlines passenger planes were heading from the capital Tehran to Beirut, Lebanon.

Several passengers were allegedly injured as a result of the pilot's low altitude attempting to avoid a collision as the fighter took provocative and dangerous actions, and was taken to a hospital after arriving in Beirut.

He also said that it was possible that it was an American or Israeli fighter that was approaching.

In the footage released by the state-owned media, said to have been shot on board, passengers fell to the floor, and something like a fighter was transmitted outside the window.

Mahan Airlines is Iran's main airline, but the US government has sanctioned it because it is involved in smuggling arms.

Iran's Foreign Ministry spokesman Musabi told local media, "We will investigate and take political and legal action as soon as we know the details."

Israeli military officials "not involved"

Israel has repeatedly conducted cross-border attacks on Syria by fighters, but an Israeli military official told NHK that it was "not involved in the matter of Iran's airliner."

Syria's National Communications "Military Aircraft Seen as a US-led Volunteer Alliance"

Syria's state news agency said that the fighter's approach to the Iranian passenger plane was above the town of Tanfu in southern Syria where US troops are stationed. Military aircraft, which appear to be the ones, interfered with Iranian passenger planes."
