After having had the border closed to Värmland since March 16, all signals have pointed to Norway lifting the quarantine requirement for travel to Värmland due to a low spread of the coronavirus in the county.

The Norwegian government's press conference at 2 pm on Friday was followed with excitement by many, not least the people from Värmland who were affected by the closed border. Both traders and private individuals have been looking forward to the day when the border would be reopened.

Valid from midnight

And now it becomes a reality.

Soon it will again be possible for Norwegians to travel to Värmland and vice versa.

The travel advice is valid from midnight tonight, Friday 23 July.

In addition to Värmland, it will be possible for Norwegians to travel to Örebro, Östergötland and Kalmar.

Norwegians are already allowed to travel to Skåne, Blekinge, Kronoberg
