The guards have been on site for the past two weeks, and now the municipality is extending the contract by another week.

- There are still a lot of people in Borgholm and it is then natural for us to extend the period with guards. It is also a reminder that it is important that we do not relax but continue to keep our distance, says the chairman of the municipal board Ilko Corkovic (S) in a press release.

The guards' efforts are directed towards central Borgholm, but they have also been on site at municipal bathing sites.

- This is an appreciated and effective measure to reduce congestion, says Ilko Corkovic.
