Dalian City, Liaoning Province, reported on the 23rd that a local confirmed case occurred again in Dalian after a lapse of 111 days, and multiple infected persons came from the same workshop of a seafood company and are currently outside the company. A new coronavirus has been detected in the environment.
On the 22nd, Urumqi, Xinjiang, added 18 newly confirmed local cases, of which 16 were asymptomatic infections and were transferred to be diagnosed. As the place where the new outbreak occurred, Beijing has had no new confirmed cases for 17 consecutive days.
22 new confirmed cases in mainland China reappeared in Dalian after 111 days
The National Health Commission of China announced on the 23rd that 22 new cases were confirmed in mainland China on the 22nd, including 3 imported cases (1 each in Shanghai, Guangdong and Shaanxi), 19 local cases, and a total of 2023 imported confirmed cases. On the same day, 31 cases of asymptomatic infection were newly added, 16 cases were converted to confirmed cases, and 176 cases of asymptomatic infection were still under medical observation.
As of 24:00 on the 22nd, there were 240 confirmed cases in Mainland China, 78,855 were cured and discharged, 4,634 died, and 83,729 confirmed cases were reported. 3 new local confirmed cases in Dalian, multiple infected people from the same workshop of a seafood processing company
On July 22, Dalian City added a local confirmed case, which was an employee of a seafood processing enterprise.
The latest notification from Dalian City on the 23rd stated that during the investigation of the close contacts of the above cases, 2 more confirmed cases and 12 asymptomatic infections were found, including 1 confirmed case and 12 asymptomatic infections. They are all employees in the same workshop of a seafood processing company.
The Dalian Municipal Health Commission said on the same day that the local area had shut down the factory area, cold storage and 18 directly-operated stores where the first case was located, and collected food and environmental samples from its work and living places. Many test results were positive.
Dalian official said on the 23rd that from now on, 160,000 people in Dalian Bay area, 20,000 people in the industrial group community of Maqiaozi Street, Jinpu New District, and nearly 10,000 people in the Gongong Village community of Xigang District will be tested for nucleic acid. There are currently 65 hospitalized cases, no critical or severe cases, no doubt similar to cases, and 7 asymptomatic infections are still under observation.
The State Council’s Joint Prevention and Control Mechanism issued a notice on the 23rd, requesting further work on medical observation and nucleic acid testing for the centralized isolation of immigrants.
The notice stated that immigrants should conduct nucleic acid tests before boarding in accordance with relevant requirements, and all localities must ensure that they are transported and quarantined medical observations in accordance with regulations after entry. After receiving the customs nucleic acid test at the port of entry, entry personnel will be quarantined at the place of entry for 7 days and undergo nucleic acid testing at their own expense.
