On the evening of July 10, Emma and her friends went in two cars from Säffle, where she lives, to Åmål. Once there, they must have parked their cars along the harbor and stood and played music.

Shortly afterwards, a police patrol arrived at the scene and a discussion ensued.

When the police arrested one of her friends, Emma questioned the intervention several times, stating that she was broken and beaten in the face.

- This is not okay. I backed down the times they told me, says Emma Persson to SVT Nyheter Väst.

"Very unhappy"

Rickard Fremark, head of the local police area Östra Fyrbodal, believes that there is a risk of injuries as the police have the right to use certain force in the performance of their duties.

- It is of course not to the benefit of the police's trust, but there must also be no people's court that judges the incident based on a number of film images, he says.

Reported to the police - but the case was dropped

Emma Persson suffered injuries to her face and a concussion in connection with the incident, which led her to make a police report. But the incident was dropped by the special prosecutor's office, which handles suspicions of crime by police.

SVT Nyheter Väst has read the letter in which the prosecutor announces that no preliminary investigation will be initiated:

"At some point you went so close to a policeman that he grabbed you and tore you to pieces to control what you did. That you in connection with this injured yourself in the face is hardly covered by the policeman's intent, ie his intention was never that you should hit yourself in the face, in any case it is not possible to prove, "it says in the decision.
