A citizen of the city of Al-Rams in Ras Al-Khaimah rescued four children who were drowned the day before yesterday in Khor Al-Rams, after they entered an area of ​​marine currents and fell into a hole in the creek, and the citizen was able to reach them with his speedboat and recovered them from drowning.

In detail, the citizen Jassim Rashid Ragab, an employee of the Ministry of Interior, said that he went on a hunting trip the day before yesterday, and during their return to the Fishermen's Anchorage in Rams at noon, he received a radio communication from one of his friends stating that there were four children who were washed away by the sea and subjected to drowning and in need of a rescue operation A quick.

He added, "Upon receiving the report, I was in the fishermen's berth, and I did not see anyone in the sea on the way back, except that I noticed that there were vehicles on the shore of the Creek, which drew my attention and made me rush to the place."

Rajab explained: “When I got close, I saw four children wrestling with the waves and in the event of drowning, and among them was a short child clinging to two other children and the water reached his mouth.”

He pointed out that the children were resisting the waves, and the water reached their throats, after the waves washed them inward due to the sea currents and the occurrence of the islands at that time, which led to their arrival to an area with a ditch made by one of the old projects years ago, which led to them being drowned.

He continued that, as soon as he reached them, he pulled the little boy who was not more than 11 years old, and moved him to the boat, then he started to pull the other three one after the other, then moved them all to the beach where the little boy was suffering from fatigue and exhaustion as a result of swallowing a quantity of water, in addition to exposure The other three get tired as a result of resisting the waves.

Rajab stated that the child was taken to an ambulance that was parked at the place, where first aid was taken, and the other three were examined to ensure their safety, pointing out that the first to see the four children inside the sea asking for help was a citizen called (Um Munther) who was standing at the door Her house, which overlooks Khor Al-Rams, and immediately informed the competent authorities, who in turn circulated the communication to all those present at sea, including fishermen and rescuers.

Rajab said that the coincidence of his presence near the place contributed to saving the four children because any delay in their rescue operation would have put them at risk.
