According to the relevant person in charge of the Beijing Municipal Commission of Housing and Urban-rural Development, Beijing has established a low-rent housing rental subsidy system since 2001, and introduced a market rental subsidy policy on this basis in 2015. The reporter noticed that when households with registered permanent residence in Beijing applied for market rental subsidies, the requirements for household income were adjusted from no more than 2,400 yuan per capita monthly household income to no more than 4,200 yuan in the 12 months before the application month. The housing and asset conditions of the family remain unchanged, that is, the applicant family members have no housing in Beijing and live in Beijing; the total net asset value of families with 3 or less people is 570,000 yuan or less, and the total net asset value of families with 4 or more people is 760,000 yuan Yuan and below.
At the same time, Beijing will substantially increase the market rental subsidy standard. Two levels of subsidies can be increased for families in the core area to rent housing outside the central city
The notice clarified that families that have obtained market rental subsidies should rent houses in the Beijing administrative area and sign a house lease contract. If the monthly house rent exceeds the approved rental subsidy standard, the rental subsidy shall be determined according to the rental subsidy standard, and the excess part shall be borne by the person; if it is lower than the rental subsidy standard, the rental subsidy shall be determined according to the rental amount of the rented house.

Districts can also further increase the subsidy standard on the basis of the Beijing market rental subsidy standard. The district people's government shall bear the funds needed to increase the market rental subsidy standard. The Beijing Municipal Commission of Housing and Urban-rural Development stated that after the implementation of the policy, Beijing will strengthen the qualification review and dynamic supervision and management of market rental subsidized families, focusing on verifying family population changes and actual rental conditions to prevent rent fraud and subsidies.
