“As part of the investigation by the Russian Investigative Committee of the criminal case on the murder of the investigator of the internal affairs bodies Yevgenia Shishkina, one of the accomplices, Ivan Kochetkov, was detained in Georgia,” she said.

According to her, earlier, a decision was issued against the man to bring him as an accused under Art. 295, 167, 296 of the Criminal Code and in absentia a preventive measure was chosen in the form of detention.

According to the investigation, in January 2018, on the instructions of Yaroslav Sumbaev, Kochetkov set fire to Shishkina's car in order to intimidate and force him to stop criminal prosecution against Sumbaev. After that, he sent her threatening messages, and later developed a plan for the artist's escape from the scene of the murder.

Sumbaev also recruited a minor to commit the murder, and he, in turn, his friend, Abdulaziz Abdulazizov, who on October 10, 2018 in the village of Arkhangelskoye shot Shishkina twice.

It was established that the motive for the crime was revenge for the criminal prosecution.

The procedure for extraditing Kochetkov to Russia is underway.

Two suspects in the case were detained in March 2019 in St. Petersburg.
