The Secretary-General of the Arab Media Forum, Madi Abdullah Al-Khamis, said in a statement yesterday: “The current developments and media events are at the top of the priorities of the Forum of Media Leaders, through an agenda that takes into account that these issues are firmly in the hands of Arab media leaders, in that distinguished gathering "It takes place for the first time remotely." Thursday indicated that the media played a large role during the Corona pandemic in all its means, and that states and governments took firm measures, and laid plans for media interaction with the pandemic and its challenges, whether through awareness campaigns or facing rumors, or the transfer of medical facts to citizens, and will be during the first session of the forum By hosting five Arab media ministers, talking about the experiences of countries and their procedures during the pandemic, in addition to the post-corona visions, the future of the Arab media, and its changes. He added, “It will also be during the activities of Arab media leaders to talk about the variables of the media, the various media experiences during (Corona) and beyond, the general picture that the media will reach, the most important challenges that the media faced with their various specializations, the ways and means to develop the media work, and the implications of fierce competition between Media and social media, in addition to the media practitioners themselves seeing the necessary needs of the Arab media in the coming period, by hosting more than 50 media, academics, researchers, specialists, writers and journalists with experience and expertise, to speak through four consecutive dialogue sessions ».

He added that the forum includes a number of sessions that deal with a number of urgent issues on the Arab media scene, which are witnessing many developments and fluctuations, and that soon there will be several surprises that will in turn reflect on the reality of Arab media and affect it, and the Arab Media Forum Authority has also put that issue on Top priorities for the forum.
