July 21, 2020 A precautionary order of custody in prison has been carried out by the carabinieri against Antonio Carpino, criminal lawyer and mayor in office of the Municipality of Marigliano, near Naples, and Luigi Esposito, detained under the 41bis regime.

According to what is learned from a note of the Provincial Command, they are considered seriously suspected, in competition between them and with the collaborators of justice Cristiano Piezzo, Massimo Pelliccia and Tommaso Schisa, of the crime of "political-mafia electoral exchange" and also of "electoral corruption aggravated by the so-called mafia method ", committed in the municipality of Marigliano, from October 2014 to June 2015.

When the boss Luigi Esposito said 'o sciamarro, man of the Mazzarella clan in Marigliano, decided in 2015 to organize the split from his own clan to take over the whole area, he had on the death list two former affiliates: Cristiano Piezzo and Massimiliano Pelliccia. The first was his right arm, very close to the Autore group, the second was his brother-in-law.
A death sentence skipped because 'or shaman' ended up in prison.

Now it is Cristiano Piezzo and Massimiliano Pelliccia who denounce how the boss had piloted and managed the election campaign and the elections of Antonio Carpino, mayor of Marigliano, arrested by the carabinieri for political-mafia exchange. Another has reconstructed the 'affairs' linked to the elections is Tommaso Schisa called 'o muccusiello', son of Luisa De Stefano, sentenced for planning the murder of an innocent man in the Ponticelli district, and 'handyman' of Esposito before his arrest for a murder committed when he was 16 years old.
