An Iranian general was killed on January 3 near Baghdad airport in a US rocket attack. Iran has promised to take revenge on the United States for the death of the general.
At the end of June, Tehran issued an arrest warrant for US President Donald Trump and more than 30 other people who, according to the Iranian authorities, were involved in the murder of Soleimani.
