The last night of New Year's Eve had been particularly agitated in Strasbourg. At least 220 vehicles had been set on fire, not to mention these scenes of urban guerrillas in certain neighborhoods and firefighters attacked.

More than seven months later, the national police published this Tuesday the results of its "New Year cell", set up on January 13. From that day until July 6, "73 perpetrators of urban violence including 47 minors" were arrested, she wrote in a statement. If we add to this total the 40 people arrested on the very evening of the events, “113 individuals including 66 minors” were implicated.

"Fifty" of legal proceedings

Among them, "about fifty" were the subject of legal proceedings, with five passages in immediate appearance and "about thirty indictments".

"In the vast majority of cases, the atrocities committed were committed by individuals domiciled in the area", writes the national police.
