"According to the regional forestry dispatch services, over the past day, July 21, 96 forest fires were liquidated in Russia on an area of 20,932 hectares," RIA Novosti quotes a statement.
It is specified that by midnight on July 22, 131 active forest fires were recorded in Russia on an area of 18.5 thousand hectares.
Earlier it became known that in the Orenburg region, IL-76 aircraft flew to extinguish wildfires.
