July 21, 2020 Hit the gangs that mainly control the territory between Lamezia Terme and the province of Vibo Valentia. The operation, which moved between Italy and Switzerland, was conducted by the Guardia di Finanza and the Swiss police. 75 people arrested accused of being linked to gangs of the 'Ndrangheta. A total of 158 suspects have been involved in the crime of mafia association, association dedicated to the international trafficking of drugs, money laundering, fictitious registration of goods, corruption and other crimes, all aggravated by the mafia methods.

The gangs
Calabrian organized crime families are in check, operating mainly in the territory that connects Lamezia Terme to the province of Vibo Valentia. The operation, coordinated by the DDA of Catanzaro, is conducted by the financiers of the Provincial Command of Catanzaro and of the Central Investigation Service for Organized Crime (SCICO) in Rome, with the support of the departments of the Calabria Regional Command, simultaneously with the Federal Judicial Police of Bern.

Seizures 
Seized assets for 169 million euro between Italy and Switzerland. The deal is the conclusion of years of investigation. 700 financiers of the Provincial Command of Catanzaro and of the Scico of Rome, with the support of the departments of the Calabria Regional Command, simultaneously with the Federal Judicial Police of Bern. The coordination is of the Dda of Catanzaro and the Swiss judicial authority.

"If there is still someone who thinks that the 'Ndrangheta is only an Italian problem - concludes Marra - this operation shows how the opposite is true".
