The famous Syrian actor Yasser Al-Azmeh published on his Facebook account a video entitled "Democratic Elections", taken from a satirical episode of his famous series "Maraya".

His publication of the section "Democratic Elections" via his account coincided with the start of the elections for the People's Assembly in Syria on Sunday within the third legislative session in which a large number of candidates participated, in which Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad and his wife appeared while voting in the poll.

The clip showed the story of a Syrian man (who plays a great role) during his appearance in a press interview in which he talks about the elections and that he is not interested in them, which led to his arrest by the security services and forcing him to elect a specific person.

This grandeur's tweet received about 9,000 responses, more than 560 posts, and 650 comments, most of which praised the Syrian artist and his well-known series "Maraya".

Miraya is a Syrian series that is critical in a comic framework, and it is multi-part, as it started in 1982, the last of which was Miraya 2013. The series achieved great success, and its old and modern parts were shown on several Arab satellite channels from the 1980s until today.
