“Actually, nothing stands for various speculations about alleged disagreements between Moscow and Damascus. Such kind of artificially inflated information throws are aimed at creating a distorted idea of ​​Russian-Syrian relations and are specially played out by parties hostile to both countries, ”he said in an interview with the Egyptian newspaper Al-Ahram.

Bogdanov emphasized that henceforth relations with Syria "will be built on a mutually respectful, equal basis with strict observance of international and bilateral obligations."

Speaking about trade and economic cooperation, the deputy minister noted that Russian private business is interested in the Syrian market. 

“I think that today, in addition to Russia, good opportunities from all points of view are opening up in Syria for Belarusian, Iranian, Chinese and Indian companies, as well as for Arab capital.
