Yesterday, the Palestinian Prime Minister, Muhammad Shtayyeh, considered that Israeli annexation plans are still looming in light of the lack of formal retreat from the occupation, while Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas discussed with the Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shukri the prevention of the Israeli annexation plan for parts of the West Bank, while the organization loaded Islamic cooperation Israel is responsible for the lives of the prisoners.

In detail, Shtayyeh said at the beginning of the weekly meeting of the Palestinian government in the West Bank city of Ramallah: "We still realize that Israeli annexation plans are still looming on the horizon, and that Israel has not formally retreated from that represents a continuation of the existential threat to our Palestinian cause."

In the same context, the Palestinian Prime Minister added that "President Mahmoud Abbas is leading a great effort to confront this internationally and legally," stressing that "our highest goal will remain to end the occupation and establish an independent, sovereign and viable state on the 1967 borders with Jerusalem as its capital, and the right of return of refugees."

He referred to "waiting for the decision of the International Criminal Court regarding the jurisdiction of Palestine on its territory, and the authority of the court to hold Israel accountable for its crimes."

In the same context, Abbas, upon receiving my thanks in the city of Ramallah, was informed of the latest developments on the Palestinian issue, and the efforts made politically and diplomatically to mobilize international support for the Palestinian position aimed at preventing Israel from implementing the annexation plans. The Egyptian President, Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, telephoned Abbas yesterday evening, and confirmed the rejection of any unilateral solutions that contradict international law.

Al-Sisi was quoted by the official Palestinian News Agency (WFA) as saying that any unilateral solutions "will fuel the conflict and create instability in the region."

On the other hand, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation expressed great concern about the conditions of Palestinian prisoners in Israeli occupation prisons.

This came in a statement issued by the organization against the background of reports that some prisoners were infected with the Corona virus, the continuation of arbitrary measures against them and the denial of basic rights, including the right to treatment.

In the statement, the organization held the Israeli occupation government responsible for the lives of thousands of Palestinian prisoners.

• Al-Sisi called Abbas and affirmed the rejection of any unilateral solutions that contradict international law.
