Emiliano García-Page today asked Pedro Sánchez to convene a Conference of Presidents before August so that the State addresses the actions to be taken in the face of a possible second wave of Covid-19 or to stop the current outbreaks. As sources from the Government of the Junta recall, the President of the Government himself promised to hold an in-person conference at the end of July. Given the situation in some communities, especially Catalonia and Aragon, Page added that the meeting could be telematic, but that the important thing is that it be held.

The President of Castilla-La Mancha considers this appointment essential to foresee "what we should do when more or less complex situations arise". From Motilla del Palancar, Page has been in favor of making a new regional summit with the Prime Minister soon so as not to go "from a phase of confinement, confinement, to a phase excessively unbuttoned."

"It is convenient that in the State, which begins to issue opinions, reports, analysis and even allows notes and ratings, we have a conversation about what the role of the Government should be in the coming months and what we should do" in certain situations , has added.

Sources from the regional executive consider that greater coordination between the communities is necessary, that it worked well and was good during the state of alarm, but that it is now conspicuous by its absence, as they highlight. From Toledo, they assure this newspaper that the use of the masks - mandatory in some communities yes or in others no - or the distribution of the fund of 16,000 million should be coordinated with regional executives.

Castilla-La Mancha was one of the communities that had the worst situation during the hard phase of the pandemic in Spain. Right now, however, it only has two active regrowths in Albacete and Socuéllamos, and both are controlled. From the Board they add that this community is the third with the most trackers in absolute terms. And the second according to population, second only to La Rioja, with one tracker for every 4,000 inhabitants, double that of Andalusia, for example.
