June 9, 2020 Iran has announced that it will execute the man convicted of providing information to the United States and Israel about the whereabouts of General Qassem Soleimani, killed in an American raid on Baghdad in January.

This was announced by the spokesman for the Iranian judiciary, Gholamhossein Esmaili, providing few details on the convicted man, Mahmoud Mousavi Majd.

Moussavi Majd has been found guilty of espionage by the Iranian armed forces, "in particular the force of Quds" and of providing the CIA and Mossad with information on "the movements and places of (his leader) the martyr general Qassem Soleimani", explained Esmaili .

At the moment it is not known when the man will be executed, although from Tehran they say it will be 'soon'.
