  Recently, after taking measures to prevent and control the epidemic, the Foreign Training Brigade of the Army Service Academy organized students to visit Zhongling Village, Houping Miao and Tujia Township, Wulong District, Chongqing City. More than 50 foreign military trainees from 30 Asian and African countries have personally experienced China's tremendous achievements in poverty alleviation.

  Houping Township is about 1,000 meters above sea level, with high mountains, deep ridges and deep ditches, and lagging economic development. It is listed as a deeply impoverished town in Chongqing. Zhongling Village in this township is a poor village assisted by the Army Service Academy.

  Three years ago, it took seven or eight hours to drive from downtown Chongqing to Zhongling Village. Now with the improvement of road infrastructure, it only takes more than 4 hours to reach it.

  "Poverty alleviation starts by helping the will. Some poor households feel that they have no hope of getting rid of poverty. This is not possible. They have to change their minds."   The story of Huang Jiangping's success in poverty alleviation is a microcosm of the road to poverty alleviation in Zhongling Village. In 2018, Huang Jiangping traveled from Hangzhou to Zhongling Village, the hometown of her lover, from Hangzhou. In the mountains and deep valleys, Huang Jiangping couldn't see hope and wanted to leave. Later, the roads in the village were repaired and the network was established. With the full support of the local government from subsidies, training to sales, and the help of the Army Service Academy, various industries in Zhongling Village, including beekeeping, were flourishing. Aimin Primary School has more than 200 pupils and is a school supported and built by the Army Service Academy.

  After walking through the newly-built plastic runway in the playground and entering the classrooms with complete teaching facilities, Ran Qufeng, the principal of Aimin Primary School, took foreign military students to the campus while talking about the school's development and changes. Over the past eight years, the Army Service Academy has helped the school rebuild the playground, repair dormitories, update teaching facilities, and set up teaching assistant funds and send teachers to teach on-site.
