Misiani: complicated situation but postponement would aggravate it
"A postponement in September would have aggravated the situation, we must put the organic tax reform in order. There are proposals on the table, we hope that in the budget law an objectively complicated situation can be changed for many taxpayers" . Deputy Minister of Economy Antonio Misiani said about the tax deadlines of these days, interviewed on the microphones of 'Radio 24'.

Misiani added that the proposal of the director of the Revenue Agency Enrico Maria Ruffini on the monthly payment of taxes for small and medium-sized enterprises "is an interesting proposal and it is one of the themes on which it is necessary to do a deepening work".

The controversies over the non-postponement
Many controversies about the non-postponement of the deadlines, starting with Confartigianato: "We learn with despair that the Government will not extend the tax deadlines scheduled for 20 July, despite the fact that our companies after months of total closure have not invoiced or collected enough to be able to meet the obligations. Confartigianato's requests have not been listened to, and at least we hope that those who will be late with payments will not be sanctioned ", underlines Giorgio Felici, president of the trade association.

Confesercenti, on the other hand, recalls that it first asked for the possibility of making monthly payments, a sort of 'tax subscription' that gives businesses greater financial breath.

"The postponement - he underlines - would not necessarily have created another traffic jam: our proposal was in fact to move to October, and not to September, precisely to have a more balanced distribution of the deadlines during the year: we judge a sort of economic 'strabismus' increase the financial endowment of the anti-usury fund by 10 million euros, as was rightly done, when converting the relaunch decree into law, but, at the same time, not postponing the deadline for paying taxes today which in any case, it concerns only small and medium-sized enterprises and therefore would not have created excessive problems for the tax authorities ".

"Conflavoro Pmi fully supports the daily action of accountants, fundamental and irreplaceable figures for the correct management of companies. If they decide to go on strike, they will have our full and complete support". So Roberto Capobianco, president of the association of small and medium-sized enterprises that sided with the accountants who could get into a state of agitation due to the failure to extend the tax payments to September, expiring from 20 July.
