Iraqi capital "Green Zone" was attacked by rockets

  Xinhua News Agency, Baghdad, July 19 (Reporter Bai Ping) The Iraqi military said on the 19th that the "green zone" in the center of the Iraqi capital Baghdad was hit by rockets that day, causing no casualties.

  The Iraqi Joint Operations Command issued a statement saying that three "Katyusha" rockets landed in the "Green Zone" that afternoon, two of which exploded and one was unexploded. The attack caused no casualties.

  No organization or individual has claimed to have caused the attack.

  The "Green Zone" is located in the center of Baghdad and is home to Iraqi government agencies and the US and British embassies in Iraq. Similar attacks against the "Green Zone" have occurred from time to time. On the 5th of this month, a rocket was attacked near the "Green Zone", injuring a child and damaging a private house.
